Come rock climbing in Dahab and the Sinai desert of Egypt!
Our main rock climbing season in Dahab is October to April. You can climb on dry granite rock all winter long and enjoy the winter sun. You’ll find sport climbing and bouldering in Dahab, and trad climbing in St Catherine. Ask us for a free pdf download of the Sinai Rock Climbing Guide!
Learn to rock climb in Dahab! From October to April, you can do any of our Try Climbs and Climbing Courses. Some courses are for complete beginners, others for novice climbers or indoor climbers who want to move to outdoor climbing.
Try rock climbing in a beautiful outdoor setting. You can do half-day, full-day or even overnight Try Climbs. Overnight trips are a fantastic way to spend time with a group of friends, and you will all be amazed at what you can climb!
If you’d like to become a more self-sufficient climber, do a full rock climbing course. Climbing ONE is for beginners, Climbing TWO for aspiring lead climbers and Inside Out is for indoor climbers who want to cross-over to outdoor climbing.
With 4 sport climbing crags in Wadi Qnai, +40 routes from beginner to french 7b, plus new routing possibilities in accessible areas, Wadi Qnai is the perfect starting point for climbing Sinai
At the top of Wadi Qnai, you will find an almost endless bouldering area. A brisk 45 min walk from top to bottom will take you past 9 sectors with +400 problems of every grade and variety.
If you’re on your way to the Sinai, ask us for a copy of the Sinai Rock Climbing Guide. It’s available as free pdf download from dropbox or google docs, and it’s packed with topos, grades, route descriptions and general travel advice for climbers on their way to the Sinai.
I should also say that it’s been a real work of love over the years. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Sinai Rock Climbing Guide – you’ll find photos of most of them in the guide!
SUMMER ROCK CLIMBING, MAY TO SEPTEMBER
If you’re on your way to Dahab in the summer, all is not lost! Summer climbing trips are limited to late afternoons and very early mornings, but they’re still super fun. And you’ll be happy to jump into the sea afterwards!

Who recognises this #rockclimbing area in #Dahab? That's right, it's Waterfall. Waterfall is perfect for family climbing and groups with mixed ability, as there are routes for beginner, intermediate and advanced climbers (french 3a to 6c+/7, mainly single plus 2 multi-pitch). In summer, Waterfall is in the shade from about 1:30pm, so we climb Waterfall late afternoon from 2/3pm to sunset. We'd love to have you join us one day! ... morehide
