Love scuba diving? Ready to share your love for the underwater world with other divers? Then it’s time to go pro and do your PADI Divemaster!

Your PADI Divemaster course takes 4-6 weeks, depending on your experience to date. Or you can go one step further, stay with us for 3+ months and do a full Divemaster internship.

Course Content

During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organise and solve problems. You put this knowledge into action through an internship or series of practical training exercises. Topics and practical workshops include:

• The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster
• Supervising dive activities and assisting with student divers
• Diver safety and risk management
• Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills
• Business of diving and your career
• Awareness of the dive environment
• Dive setup and management
• Mapping an open water site
• Conducting dive briefings
• Organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive
• Conducting a scuba review and skin diver course
• Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs
• Option to do the PADI Deep Diver and Search and Recovery Diver specialty courses
• You may be able to get college credit for the Divemaster course – ask your instructor.

Pre-requisites

To start your PADI Divemaster course, you must have:

• PADI Rescue Diver (or similar certification)
• Current EFR certificate
• 40 logged dives
• 18 years old
• Medical Statement signed by a doctor (we have excellent diving doctors in Dahab, if you don’t have one near you).
• Dive Computer
• Full equipment rental – available, but we encourage Divemaster students to buy their own as soon as possible.

Not quite there yet with your pre-requisites? No worries, just tell us where you are at the moment and we’ll make a plan to get you to Divemaster!

Booking options

• You can book the PADI Divemaster course only, or add accommodation, airport transfers, etc as you book
• Or book a 3 month internship including accommodation, working to gain more experience and part pay for your diving
• Or you can contact us and we’ll be happy to tailor a package for you.

More and more divers are doing their theory online – and you can too! Online doesn’t mean by yourself though; your instructor is available on whatsapp or messenger to help you online.

As a budding PADI Pro, eLearning is also an excellent way to get to grips with PADI’s industry leading digital learning system.
