Camp overnight in the desert

Sometimes you just don’t have enough time to get everywhere you want to go by camel! This is where a jeep safari comes in handy.

A jeep safari gets you to more places but still gives you time to explore on foot. Scramble amazing sandstone canyons carved by the elements, relax in Ein Khudra Oasis, then move to Wadi Arada for a night sleeping under the stars Bedouin-style.

Heading into the desert is almost like a holiday from your holiday!

What’s included on an Overnight Jeep Safari

• 2 days/1 night
• Full board rough camping, with carpets and blankets under the stars
• All meals, freshly cooked on the fire
• All transportation
• Small group adventure
• Local Bedouin guide

Minimum 2 people to guarantee booking. Single travelers welcome. We will add you to a group, or suggest alternative date/safari. If you have children, just let us know. We love taking families into the desert! 

Schedule

The safari starts and ends in Dahab. Exact sites are flexible:

Day 1:

• Depart Dahab 7 am. Drive to Nawamis for a 2nd breakfast, with bread baked fresh in the fire
• Short drive to White Canyon. Hike to Ein Khudra Oasis
• Lunch and explore the oasis
• Afternoon hike back to the jeep, and drive to Wadi Arada
• Dinner & overnight in the Bedouin tent

Day 2:

• Wake with the sun, and another breakfast cooked fresh in the fire
• Walk down the wadi for a 1.5 hr scramble through the Double Canyon
• Lunch
• By jeep through Wadi Safra to the dunes
• Back to the road can be via more dunes (El Hadudeh, the biggest in South Sinai), or impressive sandstone mountains like Jebel Mahkrum
• Return to Dahab around sunset
