A trip to the Sinai just isn’t complete without a desert safari.
But what if you only have 1 day? Is a ‘big bus trip’ you’re only option? Of course not!
We’ll get you off the beaten track with a local Bedouin guide who will be happy to introduce you to the landscape and people of the Sinai.
This is a daytrip by jeep, exploring further on foot:
Minimum 3 people to guarantee booking. Single travelers welcome. We will add you to a group, or suggest alternative date/safari.
The safari starts and ends in Dahab. Schedule varies by season, but this will give you a good idea:
Day before, 5pm | Safari briefing: meet your guide and one another, final details including departure time, meeting point, any dietary issues, etc |
7am | Depart Dahab |
8am | Wadi Arada, breakfast with Bedouin family |
9am | By jeep through Wadi Safra. Fun on Safra dune, draw water from Bir Safra (well) |
10am | Jebel Makhroum. Fun scrambling up the mountain with a hole |
11am | Nawamis (ancient burial mounds), tea with family |
12:00 | Lunch, Wadi Arada |
1:30 | Double Canyon - 1.5 hr Adventure hike or 'scramble' |
3:00 | More Bedouin tea |
4:00 | Return to Dahab |
5:00 | Arrive Dahab |
